A couple of days ago Letitia James, the persecutor who is so focused on getting Trump, no matter what, released some documents to Forbes that showed how Trump had failed to reveal a loan to Daewoo. The problems were that a) There is no law, no process, that expects a President to "reveal" debts (or for that matter anything else about a business) in their personal financial disclosure reports. If they did, a lot of congressional and administration officials would be scrambling, eh, Nancy? And second, the very strong inference that Daewoo has ties to North Korea, and therefore Trump has ties to North Korea, was a red herring of the most base sort of media propaganda.

The story was promptly picked up and spread by the liberal media trying to make much of a nothing story, all to get trump, no matter what. Our own resident propaganda manufacturer happily spewed the story in all it's glory with the comment (all in caps) "but Hunter!!" in an apparent attempt to divert from that media fuckery.

No, they haven't learned their lesson. They didn't learn it with the Kavanaugh slime, or the Russian collusion bullshit, or the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and now with the "Trump is owned by the North Koreans" nonsense.

And they wonder why no one believes their bullshit. Even the dumbest politician familiar with the Nixon, Clinton, and Stormy Daniels scandals knows, just without exception, the coverup of a nasty bit of news will bite you in the ass faster and harder than owning up to the nasty bit of news in the first place.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk surprised many by firing of former FBI General Counsel James Baker as legal counsel for Twitter.

For many of us, the most astonishing thing around this news was that Baker was still at Twitter. I had assumed that Baker had left the company with Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s former chief legal officer who was the key figure behind the company's notorious censorship system.

I cannot imagine a less compatible figure to remain at the company to implement the new transparency and free speech policies of Musk.

A letter in which Twitter CEO Elon Musk threatens employees who leak to the media has been leaked to the media.


Zoë Schiffer of Platformer, which has done copious reporting on Musk’s embattled tenure as “Chief Twit” — took to Musk’s platform Saturday morning to leak the letter threatening legal action against leakers.

In a series of tweets, Schiffer wrote:

NEW: Elon Musk is threatening to sue Twitter employees who leak confidential information to the press. He’s asking staffers to sign a pledge indicating they’ve understood. Here’s the email:

“As evidenced by the many detailed leaks of confidential Twitter information, a few people at our company continue to act in a manner contrary to the company’s interests and in violation of their NDA.

This will be said only once: If you clearly and deliberately violate the NDA that you signed when you joined, you accept liability to the full extent of the law & Twitter will immediately seek damages.”

Musk says occasional slip ups are understandable “but breaking your word by sending detailed info to the media” with the intent to harm Twitter “will receive the response it deserves.”

Employees have by 5pm today to respond.

It may seem, to the naked eye, that Musk’s letter wasn’t effective, but there’s no way of knowing how many Twitter employees who didn’t send the letter to the press were dissuaded from doing so by Musk’s letter.

And we are also seeing that same misdirection with Musk and twitter. The Hunter Biden files he released actually show only one thing. A decision made by a private company not to publish something. When the solution is simply and obvious. If you don't like the way twitter is doing things get the fuck off twitter and go to another platform. But no they don't want to do that because twitter is where the action is or maybe was. So all they are really demanding is all platforms and news outlets have to publish the promote their lies and false propaganda. .

Proving another grand lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in thins nation. That conservatives believe in free enterprise, the private sector, and capitalism.

 

Well, if it were as simple a case as a private company making editorial choices there wouldn't be a story, would there?

In the latest release of files from Elon Musk it appears that Trump was banned after First Lady Michelle Obama "and others" were lobbying Twitter to ban Trump. First, cause, you know, Trump, but also because of his tweets relative to January 6. Michelle's message sent to Twitter;

""Now is the time for Silicon Valley companies to stop enabling this monstrous behavior—and go even further than they have already by permanently banning this man from their platforms and putting in place policies to prevent their technologies from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection," Obama wrote in a lengthy statement posted to Twitter on Jan. 7.

She added: "And if we have any hope of improving this nation, now is the time for swift and serious consequences for the failure of leadership that led to yesterday’s shame."​

Of interest is that many of the original tweets from Trump have been themselves censored, and even the National Archives either doesn't have them, or declines to share them. But in this modern age, they are still out there. So, these are the tweets that got Trump banned, according to Twitter at the time;

Then, when Trump's account was banned, he used other accounts to tweet his reaction.​

But that isn't what Michelle Obama was triggered about. She fired off her expectations about Trump to twitter on January 7. So, what was it Trump tweeted on January 6 that would have triggered Michelle and others into demanding Trump be silenced?​

Well, lets find out, shall we?

2:24 p.m. Trump tweets: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

2:39 p.m. Trump tweets: “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!”

3:13 p.m. Trump tweets: “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order — respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

4:17 p.m. Trump tweets “I know your pain, I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. … You’re very special. You’ve seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil.”

6:01 p.m. Trump tweets “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”

Now, if this were just citizens, even "government" citizens, voicing their opinion either publicly or privately to Twitter management, it would fall under the category of "Free Speech".​

But the evidence is that at least First Lady Michelle Obama was making her case as First Lady I.E. a highly placed Government representative.
That, as they say, is a problem. A big fucking problem. In fact, a bigger problem than just about any other problem we face.​

You see, we have this amendment to the Constitution. Its in fact the First amendment to the constitution. And it reads;

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Now the relevant part of this amendment reads;
""Congress shall make no law ............. abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press................"​

Now, it's been pointed out many times on this forum that a private company can indeed "abridge the freedom of speech" and anyone who has ever read a politically slanted media report knows that media for damn sure "abridges the freedom of the press".​

So what's all the fuss about?
It's that Government representatives, highly placed government representatives, leaned on a private media outlet to silence that which they did not want the public to hear. And that is censorship of the most base kind, and it is precisely the kind of censorship the 1st amendment was prohibiting. It makes, in this case, Twitter, an arm of government, a megaphone of Government speak, and when it's used to censor someone, even someone who is deplorable and a pompous gas bag, it is in direct violation of the 1st amendment and demands redress.

Mark this spot.
When Nancy Antoinette's star chamber issues it's final report, it will not even touch on how or why the government saw fit to censor it's president in the waning days of his presidency.

And if that doesn't scare the living shit out of Americans, we are well and truly fucked.​
